    Geriatric Care

We take great pride in caring for the older patients in our life. We recognize the importance of treating patients according to their age, so a number of extra precautions are taken when dealing with our older patients.  We clearly can not treat an 80 year-old patient as if he or she were 16 years old.  If a geriatric patient comes in for surgery, the procedure is always performed with full monitors. These monitors include: an oxygen meter, a blood pressure cuff, and an EKG machine. During the procedure, the doctor and staff monitor these machines, taking note of any abnormalities.  This extra precaution allows for proper care of our elderly.
